Marriage And Family Class Ideas Essay

This paper analyzed the three main ideas from the Marriage and Family class. These ideas were useful in helping to improve marriages in the country. Finally, I provided feedback. There were many important ideas and thoughts about marriage that were shared in this course. I chose to focus on three of them. They were: Individual work is important in a marriage, economic influences are significant, and gender roles in families are often unbalanced. First, it is important to understand that a marriage is not just about mutual cooperation and cooperation. It also requires individual effort to change one’s behavior and temper. “Four Keys to Improving Marriage,” stressed the importance of learning how to manage anger and to learn how to calm down. “Problems in Communication and Trust” said that it is important to first understand yourself before you can trust your partner. This is a crucial idea, as many believe marriage can only be achieved through mutual effort. It is important to remember that mutual effort would be ineffective if each person did not do their part. Second, the economic aspect is important in shaping a marriage. In “Choosing Partners,” wealth was stressed as a factor in selecting a partner. The financial implications of divorce were discussed in “Divorce”. In “Intimate violence,” victims were encouraged to remain with their abusers because of economic reasons. His idea is important to remember. Although we believe that marriage is largely dependent on interpersonal relationships, it’s important to remember that income levels, economic dependence and differences between spouses can all have an impact on a marriage. These factors can even ruin good interpersonal relationships. Third, it is important to remember that gender roles in most families, despite equality being a goal, are still very different. “Marital Commitment” reveals that most women give up work after the birth of a child. Intimate Violence reveals that women are often more victims of abuse than their male counterparts, particularly when they are disadvantaged. This idea is best expressed in “Men and Women’s Roles within Families and work,” which highlights the differences in roles and how they affect each other. Future family and marriage specialists must understand that gender equality in today’s world is only an ideal. It is essential that they also understand the realities of how families work. These ideas, I believe, can be used to improve the quality of marriage and family life in this country. It is vital that psychotherapists consider the importance of individual work in order to improve a couple’s marriage. This will help solve family problems. Spreading the notion that economic conditions can affect marriage should also be encouraged. People, especially young people, will consider this fact and will seek out well-paid jobs before they marry or avoid dependence on the economy. This will make it easier for couples to get married and less likely to end in divorce. It is crucial that married couples understand the roles and responsibilities of their roles within the family. It will help to avoid conflict and unfair division of responsibilities. These ideas will need to be adjusted to UAE. Remember that Islamic culture places restrictions on women’s status and gives husbands greater responsibilities. When implementing these ideas, it is important to consider the Islamic family law norms. The course was comprehensive and I am grateful for the practical advice, professionalism, and the extensive approach. It was interesting, but it also suited my interests. The multicultural approach, which included understanding marriage and family in various cultures, was a great asset. The material was clear and concise, with attention to details. It allowed me to understand the concepts and apply them to my life. I also gained new skills. It was a very helpful course that provided a solid foundation for my future study and work.
To improve my skillset and increase my knowledge, I may take similar courses. The class presented three ideas that I thought were particularly important and applicable to the UAE, including an adaptation to Islamic culture. The course’s presentation and methods are generally well received.
